COTRONEO, JOSEPH “Joe” “JARMAN” – Passed away suddenly due to a brief illness, surrounded by his loved ones. Forever to be remembered and missed by his loving son Joseph, and Karen St. Louis (former spouse); daughters April Young (Adam) and Jessica Cavezza (Lou), and their families. Dear brother to Mario (Joanne), Frank (Denise), Jimmy (Vanaja), Domenic and George. Joe will live on in the hearts of his many nieces and nephews across Canada and the USA. He was predeceased by his parents, Carmello Antonio and Maria and his sister, Victoria (Vito) Passero. Many fond memories will be cherished by his former brothers and sisters in law, Michael (Natalie) Pullar and Lisa (Bruce) Dodd. Joe came from Italy at the age of five, with his family, settling in Thorold, where he resided for most of his life. He was a proud graduate of Thorold High School and dedicated 38 years of service to the Ontario Paper Company, where he held the position of Company Receiver. Joe had a true passion for slow-pitch. He was a pitcher and coach for several teams in the Niagara Slo Pitch Association. He especially enjoyed weekend tournaments, playing slow pitch and spending time with friends. Even more cherished time was spent with his family cheering on his favorite sports teams, the Toronto Maple Leafs, Los Angeles Rams, and New York Yankees. Joe loved taking care of his garden, a good game of pool, a tasty BBQ steak and a great party laughing with friends and family. He is going to be dearly missed.
A celebration of Joe’s life will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Friday, April 17, 2026 at Club Capri 36 Cleveland Street, Thorold. Donations in Joe’s memory may be made to Liver Canada https://liver.ca/ or the Canadian Cancer Society cancer.ca may be left, along with online condolences at www.Bocchinfusofh.com
