John Delbourne Sharkey

SHARKEY, JOHN DELBOURNE (Veteran of WWII serving aboard the H.M.S. Swansea and former member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 138, Merriton). Jack Sharkey of Niagara Falls, (formerly of St. Catharines) in his 93rd year. Husband of the late Muriel (Sykes). Dear father of Alex Sharkey (Elaine) of B.C., Jack Sharkey (Nita) of Edmonton, Marty Sharkey (Linda) of St. Catharines, Nancy (Bob Lozon) of Wallaceburg, Rebecca (John Topolnisky) of B.C. and Jane (Paul Proto) of St.Catharines. Loving grandfather of twelve grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Survived by brother Hugh Wilson (Deloris), sister Harlene (Rod McKenzie), sister in law Lorraine Wilson and the late Martin and Rose Sharkey, Millie and Jim Eaton, Elizabeth and George Crouchill, Leona and Jimmy Ottway and Harry Wilson. Jack will also be missed by his friend and cherished companion Mita Smiley and his many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME, 2 Regent Street, Thorold, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, April 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens.
