Jessie Baranick

Baranick, Jessie ~ surrounded by her loving family at the NHS-St. Catharines Site on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Benedict "Dick" Baranick (Jan. 21, 1980). Loving mother of Patricia (John Wright), Richard Baranick and Margaret (Donald Tong). Baba will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Christopher, Cheyenne, Samantha and Emily and by her great grandchildren Ashe-Leigh and Ryleigh. Dear sister of William (the late Irene) Maslink. Predeceased by 2 brothers and 1 sister. Jessie will also be remembered by her extended family "Out West". She was a life long resident of Thorold and a Thorold High School graduate. Jessie attended business school and became a clerk for the Exelon Co. and later became the bookkeeper for Maslink Television until she retired. She was parishioner and actively involved in the administration of St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Thorold then St. John's Ukrainian Catholic Church, St. Catharines. Jessie was a supporter of local charities, a volunteer/visitor to retirement homes, volunteer in adult literacy programmes with a love of reading and a long term member of the Thorold Horticultural Society. She was an avid walker and garden enthusiast.
