PANUNTO, JERRY - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Jerry on Friday, June 26, 2026 at his home in his 64th year. He was adored by so many, maintaining lifetime friendships and leaving a legacy of steady strength, warmth, and endless love. Jerry leaves behind the love of his life Lori. He was the proud and devoted father of Dylan, adored stepfather to Chris (Nicole) and Katie (Eddy), and loving grandfather to Kairsen and Emilee. He was the cherished son of Lucia and the late Carmine and a loving brother to John (Nancy) and Betty (Kurt). Jerry will be deeply missed by his nephews David, Bryan (Lauren) and Michael, and nieces Kari (Jordan), Jennifer, and Ashley (Matt). A small village of cousins will remember him dearly. A dedicated pillar of his community, Jerry retired happily in 2020 after 36 years of proud service with the City of Thorold. He spent his career keeping the local arena running smoothly as a Zamboni driver and finished his tenure as a Heavy Equipment Operator. Jerry lived life to the fullest. He loved the freedom of the open road on his motorcycle, sunny mornings spent with Dylan golfing, a friendly game of billiards, lake life in Turkey Point, corn hole at the trailer, and the quiet peace of his favourite e bike rides. Visitors will be received at BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME 2 Regent Street, Thorold on Thursday, July 2, 2026 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 PM at OUR LADY OF THE HOLY ROSARY CHURCH, 21 Queen Street South, Thorold. Rite of Committal Lakeview Cemetery. If desired, donations in Jerry’s memory to Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church Building Fund would be appreciated.
Jerry’s kind spirit will never be forgotten. He leaves behind broken hearts!
