Jan Popek

Popek, Jan ~ surrounded by his loving family, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, on Sunday, February 26 2012 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of 62 years to Anna Popek. Loving father of Ewa (Adam) Niemiec, Teresa (Wieslaw) Malinowska and Janina (Walter) Kociolek. Dziadzio will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Marcin (Anna) Niemiec, Monika Niemiec, Evelina Niemiec, Claudia Niemiec (Kyle), Katarzyna Malinowska, Michael Kociolek and Paulina Kociolek and by his great grandson Maximilian. Predeceased by 1 brother and 2 sisters in Poland. Jan will also be missed by many nieces and nephews in Canada and Poland. He was a veteran of the Underground Army in Poland during WWII.
