McDOWELL, James Angus – At his residence surrounded by his family on Monday, October 25, 2021. Jim McDowell of Thorold in his 95th year. Husband of the late Jean (Davidson). Dear father of Cathie (Holger), Kevin, Kim (Peter), Mitch (Jennifer), Mike (Janice) and John Henderson (Paula). Loving grandfather of Devin (Jessica), Roy, Evan, Rowan, Jesse, Megan and great grandfather to James. Son of the late George and Bella McDowell. Jim is survived by his sister Winifred Rade and his brother-in-law Al Urbinati. Pre-deceased by his sister Joyce Urbinati, his brother George, sister-in-law Edith and brother-in-law Bill Rade. Uncle Jim will also be missed by several nieces and nephews. Jim was an avid golfer, a member of the Niagara Falls Golf Club for many years and a member of the Hayes Dana Retiree Golf League. A private family service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery. Friends will be received at BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME, 2 Regent Street, Thorold, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Friday, October 29, 2021.
