VIRAG, Irma (Retired Registered Nurse) - Peacefully at her residence on Saturday, April 29, 2017. Irma (Vankos) of Thorold, in her 92nd year. Wife of the late John Virag. Beloved mother of Patricia (Michael DeYoung), John Virag (the late Marlene), Geoffrey Virag, and the late Christina Virag. Dear grandmother to Dianna (Jeff), Julie (Tom) and grandmother-in-law of Anna (the late Stephan Virag). Loving great grandmother to Christel, Erika, Brandon, Aaron, Alexander, Halyn and great great grandmother to Maks and Braylon. Sister of the late Lydia, Carl, Julia, Louis, Stephan, Alex, Josephine and Mary. Aunt Irma will also be missed by several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME, 2 Regent Street, Thorold, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Thursday, May 4, 2017. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 2:00 p.m., followed by cremation. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, would be appreciated by the family.
