TAYLOR, IDA THERESA – (Retired from A&P on Welland Avenue, St. Catharines) Peacefully, with Susan by her side on Friday, March 14, 2025 at Niagara Health Marotta Family Hospital. Beloved wife and cherished best friend of "Dapper Danny Taylor" for more than 66 years. Devoted Godmother to Susan ("Charlie" Bradley) Brown. "Ducky" to Daniel Brown, Joseph (Jenna Varga) Brown and their children Ethan, Hannah and Hunter Brown. Ida was an aunt to many nieces and nephews, and will be fondly remembered especially by Joanne (David) Harpiak and their son Liam. Survived by her siblings Cora, Phonse and Margie, Ida was predeceased by her parents John and Theresa Nicholson, and her siblings Gladys, Theresa, Joe, Delores, Leo, George, Archie, John, Bridgett and Reta. Instantly identifiable by her red hair, Ida will be missed by her large social group from "The Duck". She and Dan spent much time travelling, yearly down East, and elsewhere, often with friends. Visitors will be received at BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME 2 Regent Street, Thorold, on Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM. Vigil Prayers will be recited at 4:30 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church 31 Chestnut Street East, Merritton on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 11:00 AM.
