Ida Mancini

MANCINI, IDA ANTONIA - Peacefully, Ida passed away at Niagara Health St. Catharines on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. A loving wife to Vincent. Caring mother to Kathleen Mancini-Boisvert and Stephanie Mancini and proud Nonna to Michael Vincent Boisvert.

Predeceased by her parents Giovanni and Ermelinda Passero, she was born in 1950 in Castropignano, Italy. The eighth of nine children: Nicolina (the late Pasquale) Carrelli, the late Gennaro (surviving spouse Ofelia) Passero, the late Vincenzo (surviving spouse Tina) Passero, the late Vito Carmine and Vittoria Passero, the late Guiseppe (surviving spouse Lilia) Passero, Maria (Adelio) Mastrangelo, Guetana (the late Bruno) Sardella and the late Enrico Antonio (surviving spouse Carmelina) Passero.

Ida will also be missed by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Angelo (the late Rosetta) Mancini, the late Antonietta (surviving spouse Guiseppe) Di Felice, Carmen (Stefania) Mancini, Maria (the late Enzo) Piciante, Nicola (Grace) Mancini, Livia (Tony) Carile, Elena (Libby) Panunto, and predeceased by Giuseppe (Maria) Mancini.   She will also be dearly missed by all her nieces and nephews.

She was a leader in life, as both the president of the Ladies Auxiliary for Club Castropignano and a leader in fundraising for multiple charities. Her passion for athletics and leisurely activities, and her travels to her family condo in Florida and back home to Italy helped to instill values in her children and the grandson she raised. She has passed on her love for cooking and baking to all her loved ones.

Visitors will be received at BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME 2 Regent Street, Thorold on Friday, May 10, 2024 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Vigil prayers at 2:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church 21 Queen Street South, Thorold on Saturday at 9:30 AM. Rite of Committal Lakeview Cemetery. Donations to Walker Family Cancer Centre and online condolences in Ida's memory may be left at www.Bocchinfusofh.com.
