Ida Bruno

BRUNO, Ida (nee Perri) ~ Surrounded by love and guided by her faith, our dearest mom, nonna Ida, gracefully entered into eternal peace in her 84th year on Sunday, June 12, 2011. Mom is reunited with her deeply missed husband Giovanni (May 14, 1957). She guided her children Anna (Quint) Di Tiberio, Julio (Brenda) Bruno and Frank (Cynthia) Bruno with selfless, unending love each and every day. She embraced being "Nonna Ida" with tears of pride and joy for her grandchildren Tania (Steve) Passfield, Carmine (Christina) Di Tiberio, Ryan (Michelle) Bruno, Duane (Aleksandra) Bruno, John (Julie) Bruno and Michael Bruno, and great grandchildren Samantha, Aimee, and Charlize Passfield, Carina, and Claudia Di Tiberio, and Bianca, Chelsea and Alyssa Bruno. Loving sister of Giuseppina (the late Michele) Domanico, Marietta (the late Silvio) Domanico, Gaetano (Lina) Perri, Assunta (the late Annibale) Chiesa, Eva (the late Francesco) Di Maria, Joe (Rina) Perri and Edda (the late Larry) Dalle Sasse. Predeceased by parents Giovanni and Angelina Perri, and brother Francesco, survived by his wife Pierina Perri. Dear sister-in-law of Luigi (Rita) Bruno. Predeceased by brother-in-law Pietro (the late Carmelina) Bruno and sisters-in-law Domenica (the late Alberto) Alessio and Maria (the late Giuseppe) Altomare, all of Italy. Special, loving aunt and cousin to many in Canada and Italy. Ida worked at Interlake Steel for 23 years, retiring in 1988. She was an active parishioner and a member of the Italian Association of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Thorold.
