ROUSSOS, Helen (nee Volante) ~ it is with gratefulness for her life and sadness that the family of Helen Roussos announce her passing on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at the age of 59. Beloved wife of 39 years to Fotios Roussos. Loving mother of Emmanuel (Melissa Imhoff) and Nina Maney (Larry). Joyful "Yai Yai" of Francesca and Alexander. Beloved first-born daughter of Igino and Rose Volante. Loving sister of Maria Volante and Dino (Lena) Volante. Exceptional aunt to Daniel and Antony Volante. Helen will be missed by her aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, many neighbours, friends and colleagues. The family would like to express sincerest thanks to her caregivers Dr. Tatzel, Dr. Kouroukis, Dr. Scher and the medical and support staff at Juravinski Cancer Center, St. Catharines General Hospital and the Douglas Memorial Hospital. They would also like to thank her relatives and friends for their support over the years and in her final days. "Death is nothing at all. I have only stepped into the next room.
