Gordon Smith Madill

Madill, Gordon Smith ~ February 19, 1929 - December 24, 2009 Peacefully, after a brief illness on Thursday, December 24, 2009 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, Niagara Falls, in his 81st year. Dear brother of Roy Madill, Bob (Peg) Madill both of Toronto, Byron (Helen) Madill of Barrie and Glen (Pat) Madill of North Bay. Predeceased by sister Betty (1997) and her husband Hazen Drury (1981) and sister-in-law Doris Madill (1994). A very special and much loved uncle of Lynne and Lance Gay, Christine and Kevin Peacock and Dean and Sandra Gay all of St. Catharines, and Shawn and Gail Gay of Cambridge. Special great great uncle of Krystyn, Kaleigh, Shannon, Brianne, Cameron, Katherine and Kayla. Gordon is also survived by 16 nieces and nephews and their families. Gordon served for 8 years in the Canadian Military as a first class mechanical engineer and crew chief. He retired from General Motors in 1993 after 30 years of service and resided at Cobblestone Gardens in Thorold for the past 5 years. He loved to go on fishing trips and to relate to us his favourite limericks which would have everyone bent over in laughter. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Safranyos and the staff of Unit D at the Niagara Falls site for their excellent care.
