Villella, Giovannina ~ Surrounded by her loving family, at the St. Catharines General Hospital, on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at the age of 84. Cherished wife of the late Francesco "Frank" (June 16, 2008). Mother of Rosella and Gene Auger, Emily and Andrew Gillan, Marina Villella, Frank Jr. and Nadia Villella and Sandra Villella. Grandmother of Diana and Tom, Debora and John, Daniel and Jamie, Travis and Tiffany, Talia, Evan, Rhiannon. Great grandmother of Cole, Brett, Riley, Johnny, Nicholas, Lauren, Alijah and Daniella. Predeceased by her parents Emilia and Francesco Fragiacomo. Dear sister of Eliseo (Fernanda) Fragiacomo of Niagara Falls; Mario (Maria) Fragiacomo; the late Antonio survived by his wife Vera Fragiacomo; the late Rosa (the late Peppino) Fragiacomo all of Torino, Italy. Giovannina was "una donna della casa," a woman of the home. She came to Canada in 1958 from Calabria, Italy. Her joy grew as her family bloomed. We were amazed with her fierce independency and inner strength. One of God's gardeners, she saw a flower in every weed. She cooked with passion everyday to feed those she loved and always stood with petals open wide. A mother so very rare, content in her home and always there. On earth she toiled, in Heaven she rests, God bless you Ma, you were the best. Your illness was brief, yet very sad, but it gives us comfort you are re-united with Dad.
