Giovanni Franceschini

Franceschini, Giovanni "John" ~ surrounded by the love of his family, peacefully at his home on March 28, 2012 at the age of 79. Beloved husband of 45 years to Maria Amalia (Colombo) Franceschini. Cherished father of Jennifer Franceschini (Jason). Nonno will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandson Joshua Dingman. Predeceased by parents Nicola and Michelina Franceschini. Dear son-in-law of Rosina LaRiccia. Loving brother of Maria (the late Nicola) Raimondo. Predeceased by sister Lucia (Giovanni) Petrella and brothers Pasquale survived by his wife Michelina Franceschini and Gennaro, Gennaro and Giovanni Franceschini. Dear brother-in-law of John Colombo and Rosanna (Antonio) Mucci. John will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. John worked for the St. Lawrence Seaway for 34 years. He was a Member of the Thorold Lion's Club and was a very active member of the Sons of Italy "Club Capri" in Thorold and an active parishioner of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Thorold.
