George Hostick

Hostick, George Sr. ~ at his residence in Merritton, on Sunday, June 14, 2009 in his 95th year. Beloved husband of the late Helen Hostick (1986). Loving father of Jean Brown-Carlo, George Jr. (Nancy) Hostick, Doreen (Vic) Goertzen and John (Karen) Hostick. Candy Papa will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his nine grandchildren and by his 18 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Mary (Gene) Wikobrado. Predeceased by 3 sisters and 2 brothers. George will also be missed by special friend Edith Sonnenberg. George worked for General Motors for 44 years, retiring in 1997, was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Merritton for over 50 years and was a volunteer fireman for the Merritton Fire Department. He was also active in many sports including Golden Gloves Amateur Boxing.
