IN LOVING MEMORY OF
George William
Densham
April 12, 1933 – February 21, 2026
DENSHAM, GEORGE WILLIAM - George passed away peacefully in his 93rd year on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital surrounded by the love of his family. Husband to Shirley (neé Heximer) for 72 years. Devoted Dad to Joan (Brad Anderson), Glen (Nicole) and Ken (Tami Starostic). Proud Grandpa to Amy (Rick), Melissa (Jeff), Jaylyn (Justin), Alain, Chloé, Max, Kate (Carson) and Annake (Carter). Great Grandpa to sixteen.
He left behind a legacy of integrity, athleticism, and deep devotion to his family. George was a man of steadfast commitment, retiring from the Ontario Paper Company after 35 years of dedicated service. His faith and community spirit were central to his life; he was an active member of the St. James Anglican Church community where he served with quiet faithfulness. George’s passion for athletics began in his youth playing baseball in Allanburg and Port Robinson. He cherished the memories of playing cricket with his father. He carried on that tradition attending Thorold Secondary School where he participated on many school teams. George was an avid sailor and a familiar face at the St. Catharines YMCA, where he enjoyed years of racquetball, squash, and the enduring friendships that grew from the love of sports.
George lived a wonderful life filled with the things he loved most. He will be remembered for his sharp mind, his sense of humour, his sporting spirit, and his unwavering kindness. In accordance with his wishes, a private family service will take place. George will be laid to rest at Lundy’s Lane Cemetery in Niagara Falls.
If desired, donations in his memory to the Alzheimer’s Society and online condolences may be left at www.Bocchinfusofh.com
The family wishes to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Chapel Heights for their care, support and kindness.
