Gaetano Perri

Perri, Gaetano ~ it is with extreme sadness that Guy's family announces his passing at the St. Catharines General Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at the age of 85 with his son by his side. Cherished husband of 55 years to Michela "Lina" (Ciccotosto) Perri. Beloved father of John (Kathy Jean), Danny (Terry), and Marissa (Gerry) Austin. Nonno will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren whom he was so proud of Christopher (Jenny), Steven (Shara), Michael, Bryan (Becky), Alicia (Ryan), Ryan, and Myranda. Predeceased by parents Giovanni and Angelina Perri. Loving brother of the late Francesco survived by his wife Pierina Perri, Giuseppina (the late Michele) Domanico, Marietta (the late Silvio) Domanico, the late Ida (the late Giovanni) Bruno, Eva (the late Francesco) Di Maria, Assunta (the late Annibale) Chiesa, Edda (the late Larry) Dalle Sasse, and Joe (Rina) Perri. Dear brother-in-law of Pierina (the late Nicola) DeAngelo, Lucia (Nicola) Gaspari, the late Lea (the late Armondo) Zenere, Nicola (Mary) Ciccotosto, and the late Rosa (the late Michele) Bozzelli. Special Uncle Guy to many nieces and nephews both in Canada and Italy. Guy's zest for life and his quiet dignified manner in dealing with life's many adversities are an inspiration to his family. His place in our hearts will always be empty. Guy worked for the Exolon Co. for 31 years, retiring in 1989. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Thorold.
