IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Francesco "Frank"
Pirillo
November 24, 1944 – January 15, 2026
Francesco (Frank) Pirillo passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 15, 2026, at the age of 81. He was the devoted husband of the remarkable late Rita Pirillo and a deeply respected and cherished member of his family and community. Born in Figline Vegliaturo, Cosenza Italy, Frank carried his strong work ethic, pride in his heritage, and love of friends and family with him throughout his life. He was a respected father to Adriano (Tanya) and Maria Luisa (Tony), and a proud grandfather to Claudia (Adrian) and Matteo. Frank was predeceased by his parents, Giuseppe and Francesca, and by his in-laws, Nicola and Giuseppina Citrigno, brother-in-law Frank Citrigno (survived by Pina). Frank was a dear brother to the late Luigi (survived by Teresa), the late Elena (survived by Berardo), the late Alfred (survived by Anna), the late Leonardo (survived by Ida), and the late Vincenzo (survived by Mary). Frank is survived by his brother Mario (the late Rita) and will also be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members here in Canada and Italy. Frank enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. He looked forward to his weekly card games, where laughter and friendly competition were always present, and he took great pleasure in spending time with his close group of Golf Buddies on the course. He will be missed by his friends for their regular coffee gatherings at Mr. Cappuccino, moments filled with conversation, laughter, and lasting friendships. For 40 years, Frank and Rita owned and operated Queensway Auto Parts, where he was a prominent and well-respected businessman in the Niagara Region. They also owned and operated Farm Fresh Produce, bringing the first farm quality produce to the community. He was not only a respected business owner, but also a caring employer who treated his staff like family. His workplace was built on kindness, loyalty, and mutual respect, and many employees remained by his side for years, grateful for his guidance and support. Frank’s generosity and keen business acumen played a vital role in supporting many fellow entrepreneurs in the Niagara area as they established their own businesses. He was also a key contributor to Club Roma & Club Italia. He had a lifelong love of auto racing and took great pride in owning his own race car. He especially cherished his time at Merrittville Speedway, where the thrill of the track and the warmth of the racing community meant so much to him. Whether watching the races, or sharing stories afterward, he relished the excitement, the friendly competition, and the many laughs shared with family and friends. He also treasured the many trips he shared with his wife Rita, their children, and lifelong friends to Florida & Myrtle Beach, especially the unforgettable journeys to the Daytona 500. Those travels were filled with laughter, excitement, and cherished memories that will be held close forever. Frank was known for his generous heart and his willingness to help others. Whether offering advice, lending a hand, or simply taking the time to support someone in need, he was always ready to help without hesitation. His kindness and generosity touched many lives. Frank will be remembered for his loyalty to family, friends, and his community, his quiet strength, and the care he showed to those around him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. The family wishes to extend their sincerest gratitude to those who provided care and support. For those who wish, donations in Frank’s memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
The family wishes to extend their sincerest gratitude to the many physicians and healthcare professionals who cared for Frank over the past several years. Their compassion, dedication, and support brought comfort to him and his family, and will always be deeply appreciated.
“Though we cannot see you, you are never far away. You will live in our hearts, in love that will always stay.”
