Frank Caputo

CAPUTO, FRANCESCO - The world became a little less bright on Saturday, September 13, 2025 with the passing of our beautiful blue-eyed husband and father Francesco “Frank” Caputo in his 82nd year after a short battle with cancer at the Marotta Family Hospital, St. Catharines.

He was born on October 31, 1943 in Cosenza Italy to the late Armando and Maria Caputo. He immigrated to Canada – Thorold - in 1965 and it's here that he met his cherished wife of 56 years Rosa (née Tripodi) and together raised three wonderful children Armando (Tracy); Maria and Angelina (Charlie). He leaves behind his best friend and brother Giuseppe of St. Catharines and Palmira (Armandino) Tropeano of Italy. Survived by sister-in-law Rita (the late Felice) Verdile and brother-in-law Rosario Tripodi. Predeceased by sister Rita (surviving spouse Armando) Perri, and in-law's Carmela and Rocco Musumeci; Francesca and Francesco Tripodi; Francesco Tripodi (surviving spouse Gianna) and Pasquale Tripodi. Survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada, Italy and the United States. Due to his tremendous heart, he is also a loving "Canadian grandfather" to Mario Rodriguez and his family. Dad was a humble, genuine and loving man, always willing to help others, especially his dearest friends of which he had for over 60 years. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family and friends will never be forgotten. Visitors will be received at BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME 2 Regent Street, Thorold on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. Vigil Prayers will be recited at 3:00 PM. In keeping with his wishes, cremation will follow.
