Frances Lipiec

Lipiec, Frances (Zovosky) ~ surrounded by her loving family, at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the age of 79. Cherished mother of Mitchell Lipiec (Bonnee Rizzardo) and Cindy (Roch) Fournier and their father Edwin Lipiec. Predeceased by her son John Lipiec (June 1985). Baba will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her granddaughter Candice and her great grandchild Zion. Special godmother to 8 children. Dear sister of Jimmy Walsh. Predeceased by brother William Zovosky (1952) and sister Eleanor Thurston (1998). Fran will also be missed by her friend Beverley Lipiec, cousin Chester Marczewski and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She worked for the Port Weller Dry Docks, retiring in 1987. Fran was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church and the C.W.L., Thorold, Legion of Mary, St. Mary Ukraine Church, Thorold, St. Mary Assumption Church, St. Catharines and the Association of Marian Helpers. A special thank you to the staff at St. Catharines General Hospital, the Oakwood Park Lodge, Mount Carmel Home, Fr. Andy Goodwin and Deacon Frank.
