WORDEN, FRANCES LEE “Fran” – Peacefully, after a long illness, at Extendicare St. Catharines, surrounded by the love of her family in her 89th year. Fran is predeceased by her best friend and partner, Bob Culver in 2016. Proud Mom to Craig Worden (Kim), Cyndy Gall (John), Bruce Worden (Zeljka) and Debbie Sutor (Robert). Devoted and cherished Grandma to Kristopher, Keira, Michael, Brycen, Andrew and Ashley and her five great grandchildren. Fran will be lovingly remembered by her siblings Janet (the late Laverne) Seburn and Scott (Lynn) Hays but is predeceased by her siblings Hazel (Joe) Boggs, Beverly Hays and Margie (surviving spouse Charlie) Russell. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Fran worked in various capacities at GM for 16 years before retiring in 2000. Above all, family was everything to Fran. She found joy in her garden, enjoyed bowling, and had a special fondness for anything peacock. No doubt, the gardens in heaven will be even more beautiful with Fran there to lend a hand. Her infectious smile and loving spirit will be remembered by all who knew her. Visitors will be received at BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME 2 Regent Street, Thorold on Friday, June 26, 2026 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, and on Saturday, June 27 from 10:00 AM until the memorial service in the Lamb Chapel of the funeral home at 11:00 AM. Fran will be laid to rest with Bob at a later date. If desired, donations to Hotel Dieu Shaver would be appreciated.

Fran’s family is profoundly grateful to the extraordinary staff at Hotel Dieu Shaver and Extendicare St. Catharines. Words cannot fully express their appreciation for the compassion, kindness, and unwavering devotion shown to Fran throughout her care. These wonderful caregivers became so much more than staff—they became an extension of Fran’s family, surrounding her with dignity, comfort, and love. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
