FEOR: Angeline "Angie" (Née Ambrosie): Peacefully at Linhaven after a brief illness, on Sunday, May 10, 2015 in her 99th year. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Sr. Loving mother of Joseph (Mary), Paul (Theresa), Beth (Will) and Joanne (Jim). Loving Grandmother to Gregg (Allison), Shauna-Leigh, Sarah (Anthony), Leah, Paula (Robert), Joseph (Fiorela) and Anthony. Great Grandmother to Nigel, Santino and Leila Angelina. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Maria Ambrosie and by 5 brothers and 4 sisters. Angie was also survived by many nieces and nephews. Angie was baptized, confirmed and married at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, where she was lifelong parishioner and a 65 year member of the Catholic Women's league, and the Italian Catholic Association. Angie was a terrific athlete in high school and was honoured for her basketball team's OFSAA championship in 1931, 1932 and 1933 on Thorold's Runway of Recognition in 2008. Angie loved to cook and will always be remembered for her legendary pasta and pizza dinners by her family and friends. Friends will be received at BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME 2 Regent Street, Thorold on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 from 2- 4 and 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers at 3 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church 21 Queen Street South, Thorold at 11 a.m. Interment at Lakeview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Angie's family would appreciate donations to BreathWorks or the Holy Rosary Building Foundation.
