GEMMILL, EVELYN FRANCES (Née MENECHELLA) 1932-2025 Peacefully, on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Bella Senior Care, Niagara Falls in her 94th year. Predeceased by her husband Douglas (September 12th, 2011) who has been patiently waiting for her to be ready, just as he did in life. Loving mother of Cathy-Lynn (Dave Styles). Nana will be forever missed by her grandchildren Erin Grayley-Glintz (Waylon) and Shaun Grayley (Emily) and their father Paul. Dear sister of the late Marion (Anthony) Serravelle and the late Rosalie (Peter) Quattrini. Auntie Ev will be missed by Donna Quattrini, Barb (Kim) Serravelle, Dave Serravelle and Tom (Cathy) Serravelle. Dear sister-in-law to Doug's siblings Neil, Grant, Raymond, Robert, Rodney, Jessie, Margaret, Marjorie, Fran, Dorothy, Mary and their spouses. Aunt to many more nieces and nephews. Evelyn was predeceased by her parents Maria and Rocco Menechella. Born and raised in Thorold, Evelyn was ahead of her time by working full-time when most wives and mothers stayed at home. She began her career at B. J. Grosse Insurance in Thorold and later worked for Rose, Horne and Stevenson (HUB Int'l) in St. Catharines, retiring in her 70's. Other than spoiling her grandchildren rotten Evelyn was an avid gardener and reader in her spare time. A private family service will be held, and Evelyn will be laid to rest with her husband Douglas at Lakeview Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Bocchinfuso Funeral Home, Thorold.
