Ersilia Rapone

RAPONE, Ersilia - Our Dear Mom, suddenly, peacefully passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017, at the age of 97. Ersilia has been reunited with her beloved husband of 71 years, Domenico Rapone (2012). Loving mother of the late Anna Maria (the late Luigi) Scala of Brazil, Giovanni (Maria) Rapone, Elisa (Carmine) Palleschi, both of Italy, Pasquale (Maria) Rapone and Guido (Antonietta) Rapone. Nonna will be lovingly remembered by her 15 grandchildren, Walter, Helainy, Wana, (late Hedio) (Brazil), Ornella, Claudio, Sandra, Paola, (Italy), David, Shawn, Richard, Brian (Niagara), Andre', Anthony and Adamo (Toronto) and 20 great grandchildren. Nonna will be forever remembered for her talent and gift for cooking and for her loving devotion to her family.She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Faustina, Ferdinando, Luisa, Marietta, Antonio, Santina and Marisalma. Ersilia was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. A special thank you to the many PSW's and Live-in caregivers for their compassionate care and support over the last 15 plus years. Ersilia's family will receive friends at the BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME, 2 Regent Street, Thorold on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers will be recited in the funeral home at 3 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 21 Queen Street South, Thorold on Thursday, March 30th at 11 a.m. Rite of Committal to follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, Fonthill. Memorial donations in memory of Ersilia may be given to Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church Fund or the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family.
