DUFF, ELSIE (nee Tymochko) - With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Elsie Hilda Duff, in her one hundred and first year at Chartwell London LTC on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Christopher Lawrence Duff (1987). Dear mother and mother-in-law of Christine and Jim Wincott, Kenneth and Louise Duff and Patrick and Diane Duff. Dear grandmother of Catherine Avery, Theresa and Dan Sankoff, the late Carolyn Cole (2005), Matthew and Krista Duff, Lee and Sondra Duff, Michael Duff and great-grandmother of Alayna, Lauren, Nichole, Rachel, Carter, Clara, Declan, Olivia and Elsie. Elsie was born on July 11, 1921 in Thorold to Anastasia and Michael Tymochko. She is the last of her siblings, being predeceased by her brothers William, John and Fred and sisters Mary, Anne and Stella. Elsie had a great love of family, was an avid gardener and an excellent seamstress and knitter. Relatives and friends will be received at Bocchinfuso Funeral Home 2 Regent Street, Thorold, by appointment only on Monday, January 17, 2022 from 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:00 PM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 31 Chestnut Street East, St. Catharines.
