Ellen Philomena Petrushko

PETRUSHKO, Ellen Philomena "Nelly" ~ Nov. 8, 1921 - Aug. 9, 2014, It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our very special Mother, Ellen. She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Joseph Petrushko (2007). Ellen enjoyed a rich and fulfilling life due to her never ending love and devotion to her children and grandchildren. She is survived by Kathleen (the late Frank) Van Helvert, Maureen Clark (Allen Wirch), Christine (John) Nichols, Bill (Karin) Petrushko, Judith (Bill) Nitransky and Anthony Petrushko. Grandma will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Francis, Michael, Christopher, Maria, Stacey, Ellyn, Billy, William and Cameron and by her great grandchildren Callum and Cole. We feel so fortunate that right to the end our Mother was able to live life to the fullest, always showing a keen sense of humour, and a feistiness that was her trademark. A special thank you goes out to her favourite doctor, Dr. Roger Rose and to the staff at the Royal Henley Retirement Home, who always showed her such care and compassion.
