FOLEY, DOUGLAS LESTER – (Retired from General Motors after many years of service in Quality Control) Reunited with the love of his life, Loretta (née Lynch) on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at Niagara Health Marotta Family Hospital just days before his 86th birthday. Loving Dad to Kristin (Randy Ferguson) and Greg (Tina Furness). Proud Papa to Brandon, Steven, Elizabeth “Lizzy”, Natasha, Alex, Kitty and Charlotte “Charlie”. Dear brother to Pat (the late Jim) MacGillivray and the late Jack (surviving spouse Caroline). Predeceased by his parents, Harold and Mary (nee Lester). Doug will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. Doug was a big fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Buffalo Bills, but his passion was for Golf. He and Loretta enjoyed golf trips to Myrtle Beach and were members at Rockway Vineyards Golf Course. Doug gave back to the sporting community volunteering to do time keeping and supervising golf tournaments. Visitors will be received at Bocchinfuso Funeral Home 2 Regent Street, Thorold on Friday, July 25, 2025 from 11:00 AM – 12:00 noon, when a memorial service will be held in the Lamb Chapel of the funeral home.
