Donna Marie Taylor (Nee Ricci)

TAYLOR, Donna Marie (nee Ricci) – June 3, 1938 – May 6, 2023. Beloved wife of the late George (2011) and predeceased by her 3 precious sons, Joseph (1966), Greg (2011) and Jim (2018). Donna will be missed by her beloved grandchildren Darcy Taylor, Alysha Taylor and her cherished great-grandsons Seth, Gage, Jaxx, Jacob, Darcy Jr. and Liam. She was a wonderful, loving, supportive sister to Rosemary (the late Cecil - 2018) Hoekstra, Cathy (Reg) MacLeod, and the late Jim (2018) (survived by Marg). Aunt Donna will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Fondly remembered by her many friends, Donna had a long career as a dedicated R.N., advocating for patients, families and other health professionals. She was generously unselfish with her time and energy. She loved being a nurse and was determined to make a difference for everyone in the workplace and in her personal life. She cared passionately for people and fought to meet their needs. She was forward-thinking and fiercely persistent in helping to bring about innovative changes wherever she worked. She ended her career in Health & Safety and Infection Control at Shaver Hospital in St Catharines. At Donna’s request a private family visitation and funeral Liturgy Outside of Mass was held. Donna and her family are forever grateful to all the dedicated staff at Niagara Ina Grafton Gage Village in St. Catharines for the wonderful, exceptional and loving care she received from all the staff in every department during her 6 years there. She chose to remain in their loving, compassionate care for her final journey. We thank all of you.
