HOWELL, DOLORES (Née Dittrick) – Surrounded by the love of her family, on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Marotta Family Hospital at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Dennis (2013). Caring and supportive “Ma” to sons Alan (Maria) and Dennis, “Mom” to daughters Joan (the late Martin Bride – 2022), Dennise Oliver and predeceased by Jean (Walter) Robins. Proud Gramma to Jason, Warren, Colin, Andrew, Tammy, Tina, Cathy, Ryan, Cody and Alanna. She will be sadly missed by her surviving siblings Rob (Sharon) Dittrick, Richard (Janet) Dittrick and Marlene Tracey and their families. Predeceased by her siblings Kenneth, Pearl, Mac, Grace and Evelyn. Dolores will be fondly remembered by her large extended family. Geowing up in a large family taught Dolores many skills, including the love of gardening – vegetables to feed the family, and flowers for pleasure – and cooking and baking large family meals. Her favourite was to cook elaborate holiday dinners, but that was also motivated by knowing her whole family was going to be together. She was also an excessive Cat Lady, adopting cats late in their lives to give them comfort and rescuing kittens to give them a happy life. Arrangements entrusted to Bocchinfuso Funeral Home, Dolores and Dennis will be laid to rest at Lakeview Cemetery in a private family service at a later date.
