Denise Bowman

BOWMAN, DENISE (née Bangs, formerly Anderson) - Peacefully, with her loving family by her side on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital in her 74th year, after a battle with Alzheimer’s. Soulmate to Bob for 41 years.

Denise was a loving Mom to David (Joanne) Anderson, Doug (Lisa) Anderson, Dan (Cindy) Anderson and Chris (Megan) Bowman. Proud “Grey” to her special grandchildren and great grandchildren who were all the light of her life. Dear sister to Doris (Larry) Logan, Berthe Fortin, Isabelle Bleakney, Maurice Bangs and her best friend Angele (John) Bell. Predeceased by her parents James and Marie-Claire Bangs, and siblings Ron (Pricilla) Bangs, Irene (Adelard) Laplante, Arthur (Georgette) Bangs and Jacques Bangs.

Denise will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews, friends, wonderful neighbours, and her coworkers - the “Sears Girls”. Denise loved to travel, taking many road trips with Bob in the convertible, but her favorite was cruising to warm destinations and avoiding the cold Canadian winter. Family was so important to Denise that she retired to help look after her grandson Spencer. She incorporated her love of family with her other love – shopping!

A celebration of her life will be held at St. John’s Anglican Church, 12 Carleton Street South, Thorold on Saturday February 11 at 1:00 pm. The family will receive family and friends at the church an hour prior to the service at 12:00 noon.
