Daryl Mahler

Mahler, Daryl ~ it is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Daryl Mahler Saturday, April 18, 2009 at the age of 48. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 25½ years Theresa (Flaherty) Mahler. Loving and devoted father of Adam, Ryan, Matthew, Danielle and Michael. Cherished son of Joyce Anne and the late Robert (1995) Mahler and much respected son-in-law of Joyce and the late Joseph (2008) Flaherty. Dear brother of Bob, Steve, Gary, Dan and Jim and their wives and children. He will also be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by many brothers and sisters-in-law and their children, relatives, students and friends. Daryl truly loved and touched many lives throughout his career of 20 years at Denis Morris High School in St. Catharines as a dedicated teacher, administrator and coach for the football, cross country and track and field teams. He was also very active in the Thorold Community. His greatest passion was his family where he was an extremely devoted husband and dedicated father. He was a "coach of life" to his children. Daryl was an avid runner. "I have competed well; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith".
