TAYLOR, DANIEL - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel Taylor at the "young" age of 93 on Monday, December 8, 2025 in Niagara-on-the-Lake. He is predeceased by the love of his life, Ida (Née Nicholson). They were married for 67 years. Daniel was born in Glace Bay, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. He and Ida traveled there for several weeks every summer, until they no longer could make the trip. Sadly missed by his surviving brothers: George (Leah) and Weldon (Sandy) and sister-in-law Gert, he is predeceased by his parents Matthew and Fanny; brothers, Doug and Robert; sisters, Lil, Reta and Joyce. He will be missed and fondly remembered by his other love, Susan and her family. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews and long-time friends. A special thank you to Mike, who was a devoted friend and a great help to Susan in the difficult times. Dan worked at Hayes Dana until his retirement. He loved playing hockey, baseball, golf and bowling. He was a devoted Toronto Maple Leafs fan to the end. Family will receive friends at BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME 2 Regent Street, Thorold on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. A memorial service in the Lamb Chapel of the funeral home will follow at 12 noon. Dan and Ida will be laid to rest together in a private grave side service at Victoria Lawn Cemetery at a later date.
