Dan Baron

Baron, Dan Surrounded by the love and support of his family, Dan passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at Hospice Niagara after a short battle with colon cancer, at the age of 60. Dan was the beloved husband for 37 years, to Pat. Loving dad of Lee Anne Baron and Sarah Baron (Drew). Proud Grandpa of Parker. Dan is survived by his mom, Elsie Calderwood. Dear brother of Mike (Lauri), Vic (Terry), Chris (Aideen), Kathy (Dave) and brother-in-law, Dave (Brenda). Dan will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Dan was predeceased by his stepfather, Matt Calderwood. A special thank you to Darryl (Dan's CCAC nurse) and the staff at Hospice Niagara, for their compassionate care. In accordance with Dan's wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted to the BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME. A Celebration of Dan's Life will be held on April 1, 2017, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Thorold Legion, 3 Ormond Street South, Thorold. Please come as Dan would want you, in your favourite sports attire. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to your choice of a colon cancer charity.
