Raimondo, Concetta (Iantomasi) ~ it is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our dearly loved wife, mother, nonna and friend, at the St. Catharines General Hospital, on Saturday, April 30 , 2011 in her 73rd year. Beloved wife of 51 years to Giuseppe Raimondo. Loving mother of Emilio (Nancy) Raimondo; Michael (Donna) Raimondo and Marilisa (Sean) Springett. Nonna will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Joseph and Kaitlin Raimondo; Kaila and Lauren Raimondo and Isabella and Lucas Springett. Predeceased by her parents Michele and Elisa (Marinaro) Iantomasi and her brother Angelo as well as her in-laws Emilio and Maria-Costanza (Colitti) Raimondo. She leaves behind her sister Rosa (Michele) Zeferro. Dear sister-in-law of the late Luigi and Addolorata Raimondo; the late Francesco and Carmela D'Amelio; the late Maria survived by her husband Luigi Iantomasi; the late Giovanni and Onelia Raimondo and Antonio and his wife the late Iolanda Raimondo. Zia Concetta will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. She was born in Santa Croce di Magliano, Campobasso, Italy in 1939. Concetta bravely immigrated to Canada in 1960 to start a new chapter in her life as a wife and mother. She was a woman of great strength and integrity and was always there for her family in every way. Our beautiful Mom guided us through life by teaching us values, work ethic, compassion and most of all love. Her devotion to her family was evident through all her actions. Her cooking was as legendary as her kindness and sense of humour. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church.
