PACKWOOD, Christopher Paul ~ November 5, 1956 - May 15, 2013. After an 11 year battle with Multiple Myeloma (a rare blood cancer) Chris went home to be with his Savior Jesus Christ in his heavenly court. Survived by his soulmate, bestfriend and loving wife Rachele (nee Marchese) married May 21, 1983, his adoring children Lori Ann and Mark Joseph, his mother Vivian, mother-in-law Natalina, siblings MaryAnn (Les) Hyttenraugh, John (Nicole) Packwood, brother-in-law John (Diane) Marchese, nephews and nieces, Rev. Brent (Nataley), Nadine (Brett), Peter, Christina and Marshal, cousins, Uncle Claude and Aunt Betty. Predeceased by his father Marc (2001), brother Marc (May 15, 1954 - Nov. 17, 1956), nephew Mark (1983) and father-in-law Giuseppe (1996). Chris loved music and played drums and guitar in his own band as a youth, was a great tennis player and loved hockey. He sailed his own boat through the Carribean, enjoyed water sports, his cars and was a world traveller. Chris was a highly respected computer software consultant who ran his own company. His main passion in life was his faith, love and trust in his Lord, Jesus Christ and his belief in God's word. Along with his wife he taught his children to work hard, respect others and never give up hope. Special thanks and gratitude to Dr. Ann Benger, Dr. Jeremy Child, Wendy Bursey (RN), the Juravinski Cancer Centre and hospital staff for their above and beyond medical attention and touching compassion. Thanks also to the CCAC team for their care of Chris during these last weeks; especially nurses Jan and Joanne.
