MAINVILLE, CHARLES NELSON - June 10, 1932 - July 8, 2019.
Charlie passed away after a brief illness at the Shaver Hospital at the age of 87 on Monday, July 8th, 2019. He is survived by his beloved sister Helen, nephew Don (Sherry) and grandnephew Blake. He is predeceased by his father Charles, stepmother Marie, mother Goldie Perham, wife Marcella and sadly by his sons Leonard and Charlie Jr.
Charlie was born and raised in Niagara Falls but moved to Toronto to raise his family and where he worked in the furniture retail business until retiring to St. Catharines. Charlie was larger than life, one of those colourful characters who was quick in wit, knew all the best delis, and made you feel special by always remembering your name. You always knew when Charlie was in the room. Thank you to all the care and attention provided by the nurses and doctors at both the St. Catharines General Hospital and the Shaver Hospital. As per Charlie's request cremation has taken place. An internment ceremony will take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery, St. Catharines on Friday July 19th at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers Charlie has requested donations for Masses to be said at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish.
