PAVAN, Cesira "Sara" - At St. Catharines Place on Sunday, April 3, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Sara (Cattarin), formerly of Thorold, in her 94th year. Wife of the late Luigi Pavan. Loving mother of Amalia "Molly" (Johann) Hochmeister, Lina (Edward) Farnworth and Loretta Pavan. Nonna will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Lisa (Attilio) Commisso, Karen (Daniel) Fischer, Eric (Heather) Hochmeister, John Farnworth, Sara (Joseph) Krenosky, Sandra Dammizio and by her great grandchildren Maximillian, Victoria, and Audrey Hochmeister, Madison and Ethan Fischer, Liliana and Sofia Commisso, and Benjamin and Alexander Krenosky. Dear sister of Delfina (the late Angelo) Pasin, Giuliana (the late Adriano) Moratto, and predeceased by brothers Guido Cattarin, Olindo (Bruna) Cattarin, Giuseppe (survived by wife Rina) Cattarin, Ugo (Antonia) Cattarin. Survived by brother-in-law Antonio (Adelina) Pavan, predeceased by dear sister-in-law Maria (Virgino) Gheller, Perina (Noe) Carlesso, Giuseppe (survived by Rina) Pavan, Guido Pavan, Gino (survived by Nori) Pavan, Tullio (Angelina) Pavan, Vittorio (Carmela) Pavan. Cesira will be missed by many nieces and nephews in Canada, Italy and the U.S.A. She was a very independent, caring person who was there for everyone. Everyone will miss her cooking, sewing, crocheting and knitting. She was an active member of the parish at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Thorold until she went into St. Catharines Place. She then attended St. Alfred's Church with her daughter. Friends will be received at the BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME, 2 Regent Street, Thorold, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2016 with Vigil Prayers offered at 3:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at OUR LADY OF THE HOLY ROSARY, 21 Queen Street South, Thorold, on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Rite of Committal at Pleasantview Mausoleum, Fonthill. If desired, memorial donations to Osteoporosis Canada, Holy Rosary Building Fund, or the St. Alfred Roof Fund, would be appreciated by the family.
