Carmela Ciaraldi

Ciaraldi, Carmela (nee Di Fruscia) ~ surrounded by her loving husband and family at her home on Friday, January 22, 2010 at the age of 86. Beloved wife and partner of 62 years to Achille Ciaraldi. Loving mother of her sons Carmine (Virginia) Ciaraldi and Victor (Margaret) Ciaraldi of Welland. Predeceased by son Tony survived by his wife Christine. Nonna will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Tina (Jaun) Duran, Lisa, Diana (Zoran) Radovanovic, Tammy (Nik) Kramar, Rebecca (Tyler Werden), Alyssia, Jessica, Lindsay, Anthony and by her great grandchildren Michael, Luka, Sammy and Antonia. Dear sister of the late Mario survived by his wife Maria Carmela Di Fruscia, Giovanni (the late Margarita) Di Fruscia of Italy, Rocco Di Fruscia, Concetta (the late Gaetano) Marandola, Domenico (Maria) Di Fruscia, Carmine (Anna) Di Fruscia and Maria (the late Giuseppe) Marcone. Predeceased by parents Antonio and Rosa Di Fruscia. Carmela will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She enjoyed her work for many years at Riganelli's Bakery in Thorold, continuing to bake for them up until last year. Carmela was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Thorold. A special thank you for all the help and care received from the PSW's and the nurses at the Red Cross, VON, St. Elizabeth and Port Colborne Hospital (2 South), especially nurses Judy, Maisa, family and friends for their compassion and care shown through this difficult time.
