Soyka, Anthony "Tony" ~ passed away peacefully, at his home in Thorold in his 80th year, in the care of his loving companion Barbara Bidal with his faithful friend "Gizmo" by his side. He is predeceased by his wife Sylvia (Binas) 1982. He was the loving father of Tom (Ellen), Ron (Andrea Etmanskie), Virginia (David) Gillan, Robert (Donna) and Beverly (Larry) Kamineski. Grandpa will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Matthew, Sarah, Carly, Holly, Keith, Kate, Shawn and Patrick and by his great grandson Kaleb. His extended family includes Jay (Natasha) Bidal, Tryna (Don) Wood, Trevor (Tara-Lynn) Bidal. Their children Daniil, Tanner, Tatum and Tayler will miss Papa Tony. Coming from a large family, Tony is predeceased by siblings Anne (Dan) Shugan, Kate (Barton), Mary (Dave) Hollywood, Shirley (Jack) Nichols, Mike, George and Ted. He leaves behind sisters Olga (Fred) Rendall, Neddie Yeargin, brother Steve "Chip" (Belle), sisters-in-law Anne, Emily and Rosalee Soyka, many nieces, nephews and friends. Tony was a man of love and compassion who gave willingly to all. His love for travel was triggered by his travels around the world in the Merchant Marine as a young man. He is best known for his 55 year career as a mechanic and proprietor of Binas Service Station in Thorold. A special thank you to Drs. Giesbrecht and Hartman, the St. Elizabeth nurses and Para-Med for all the care and compassion they have shown.
