Annunziata "Nancy" Giardini

ANNUNZIATA GIARDINI "Nancy" - aged 98, died peacefully of a beautiful life well lived on October 31, 2024. Born January 15, 1926, daughter of Biagio and Ermina Fusarelli, predeceased by her beloved husband of 26 years Umberto Giardini, sisters Domenica, Concetta, Natalina, Maria (Tomaso) and brothers Vincenzo (Gina), Concetto (Guiseppina), Francesco (Geraldine), Guido (Vincenzina), Domenico (Grace) and Antonio (Maria), survived by Pierina (Carmelo), Berardino (Franca).

She will be forever remembered and cherished by her devoted son Robert and daughter Rosemary and her beloved family. Nancy had a caring heart and constant nurturing love, hope and faith. Nothing gave her greater joy than to have her family and friends gathered around her. She had an extraordinary sense of humour both intelligent and childlike, a gift that kept her forever young.

She lived with MS for 30 years, and by example taught us how to handle adversity with courage and life's trials with grace. We watched her bear suffering with dignity, and bravely beat the odds to live in hope. Nancy lived a life of true beauty and grace, joy and laughter, strength and determination, honour and integrity. She has left us with a legacy of wisdom and inspiration that will guide us through the remainder of this great journey, and above all the understanding that happiness lies not in wealth or fame, power or intellect, but rather in the beauty, mystery and eminence of the human heart.

Visitors will be received at BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME 2 Regent Street, Thorold on Monday, November 4, 2024 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Funeral Liturgy Outside of Mass will be celebrated in the funeral home chapel at 12:00 PM, followed by the Rite of Committal at Lakeview Cemetery.

As we grieve for her we will rejoice in every moment of her life. We give thanks for every remembrance of her. Donations in Nancy's memory to MS Canada would be appreciated.
