D’AMICO, ANNA MARIA (NÉE SPINA) ~ on Friday, January 16th, 2026 at 12:10 p.m. at the age of 91, Anna was called home to be with the Lord, surrounded by family and the loving staff at Niagara Hospice - Walker House. Beloved wife of late Giuseppe “Joe” D’Amico. Loving mother of Kathy (John), Anna (Tim), Donna (the late Donald) and Johnny. Nonna will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love by her grandchildren Marina (Dan), Matthew, Tara, Nathan (Natalie), Chad, Marysa (Adrian), Jenna (Noah) and Sara. Great Nonna of Melanie, Ashley, Kyle, Chelsea, Jaxxon, Andrew, Charlotte, Jasper, Peyton and Bennett. Great Great Grandma of Briella. Predeceased by her beloved sisters Marialibera (Rinaldo) and Antonietta (Domenic). Anna was born in Cercemaggiore, Italy on June 7th, 1934. Anna arrived in Canada in December 1955. She attended Central Community Church. In her earlier years, she welcomed many families and friends into her home as they migrated to Canada, offering comfort, support, and a sense of belonging during their new beginnings. Anna loved the simple things in life. She enjoyed gardening and crocheting, often hemming and fixing things for others and making blankets for everyone she loved. She cherished time in the kitchen, cooking and baking with her family. In her quieter moments, she loved doing puzzles, always happiest when surrounded by the comforts of home. Visitors will be received at Bocchinfuso Funeral Home 2 Regent Street, Thorold on Thursday, January 22, 2026 from 3:30 – 7:00 PM and on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Central Community Church 680 York Road, Niagara-on-the-Lake from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM. Anna will be laid to rest at private graveside service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Niagara Hospice - Walker House and Diabetes Canada.
