Angela D'Ammizio

D'AMMIZIO, Angela - It is with deep sadness that Angela's family announces her peaceful passing at the age of 91, at the Montfort Hospital in Ottawa on Thursday, March 3, 2016, surrounded by her loved ones. Angela was predeceased by her loving and devoted husband Rocco D'Ammizio, (March 10, 2008). Cherished mother of Josie (Andre Lauzon), Mario D'Ammizio and Liana Urquhart (Lorne Adams). Beloved and devoted Nonna of Natalie (Somkiat Rangkla), Chantal Deknatel (Walter Miller), Carla Hewson, Angela (Mark Osborne), David Urquhart and Michael Alsop-D'Ammizio. Loving Bis Nonna to Jonah & Abbey Deknatel and Kate Hewson. Caring sister-in-law of Nazzarena (the late Domenic Iannelli), Silvana (the late Abramo Iannelli), Maria (the late Vincenzo D'Ammizio) Michelina (the late Antonio D'Ammizio) and Rocca (the late Domenico D'Ammizio). Predeceased by her parents Rocco and Felicita Iannelli, brothers Tommaso Iannelli (Mary), and sister Franca (Mario D'Epiro), brother-in-law Frank D'Ammizio (Concetta), sisters-in-law Immacolata (Agostino Falovo), Domenica (Egidio Del Duca) and Addolorata D'Ammizio. Angela will be fondly remembered by Egidio and Elinore Filice, Bill Urquhart and by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Angela will always be remembered for her love, devotion and commitment to her family. Her strength of character was a source of inspiration to her children and grandchildren. Angela enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening, vacationing to Acapulco with her beloved husband as well as travelling and singing with her friends and family. Her love, wisdom and spirit will always remain with her family. Friends will be received at the BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME, 2 Regent Street, Thorold, from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2016 with Vigil Prayers recited at 3:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 21 Queen Street, Thorold, on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Rite of Committal will follow at Pleasantview Cemetery.
