RUSCITTI, Amalia - The family of Amalia Ruscitti are heartbroken to announce her passing on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Extendicare, St. Catharines, with her loving family by her side. She was in her 90th year and has gone to join the love of her life, husband Pasquale Ruscitti (1994). She leaves behind her loving children, Angelo and his wife Adriana and her daughter and best friend Anna and her husband Curtis Whincop. She was extremely proud of her grandchildren who she loved more than life itself; they loved their Nonnina-Bella and will forever cherish all their wonderful memories. She will be forever in the hearts of Lindsay and Ashley Ruscitti, Shannon (Scott) Walton, Kendra (Joshua) Whincop and her grandson Curan Whincop. Nonnina was so excited to become a Bisnonna to her first great grandchild, Hudson Joshua Redman. Survived by her sister-in-law Maria (the late Orazio) Antonacci, the late Antonio and Elisabetta Tatone in Italy, and her brother-in-law Rino (Clara) Ruscitti. She was born in Santo Stefano, Di Sessanio, Italy on December 3rd, 1924 to Doralice and Anatolio Antonaccci. Mom's greatest joys were her family and her strong Catholic faith. She was an active parishioner of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Thorold. The family would like to thank all the people who took care of Mom during the last few months, especially the wonderful staff at Extendicare.
