Allegro Carbone

CARBONE, ALLEGRO - with great sadness, the family announces the passing of Allegro at the Niagara Health System, St. Catharines Site on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 in his 91st year. He is survived by his loving wife Cristina (Lillo). Dearest father of Anna (Gary) Neufeld and Vince (Yvette) Carbone. Loved Nonno of Diana, Nicole, Alexander and Vince Jr., all of whom he was immensely proud. Also survived by brother in law, George (Grace) Lillo of St. Catharines, and in laws in Italy: Salvatore (Maria), Lucia (Cosimo), Grazia (late Michele), Maria (Giovanni). He was predeceased by his parents, Vincenzo and Caterina (Aiello) Carbone, as well as all his siblings and their spouses: Michelina (Allesandro), Rocco (Gina), Julia (Enrico), Francesco (Adelina), Gabriele (Evelina), Eva (Michele), Nina (Giovanni) and Pasquale (Rita). Also predeceased by in laws: Rosario & Reparata Lillo, Joseph and Donna, Nicola & Dorina (survived by husband Carmine). Allegro is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada and Italy He was a retiree of Provincial / Noranda Paper Mill, having worked there for 36 years. Allegro was a member of Holy Rosary Church and the Padre Pio Prayer Group. Friends will be received at the BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME, 2 Regent Street, Thorold, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Sunday with Vigil Prayers being held at 3:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Holy Rosary Church, 21 Queen Street South, Thorold, on Monday, April 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Entombment at Pleasant View Cemetery.
