Alice Oakie

Oakie, Alice (Wladeka) ~ March 1, 1921~ August 12, 2008 Peacefully, at her home in her 88th year with her family at her side. Cherished wife, who is once again lovingly united with her late husband, Albert Oakie (2005). Extra ordinary mother of Sandy (Jim) Blair and Gail (Tom) O'Brien. Treasured grandmother of Shannon (Jason), Blair (Felicia) and Tyler. Wonderful great grandmother of Cameron and Evan. Predeceased by her parents Martin and Nellie Wlakeka and her dear sisters Florence Slack and her husband Charles and Olga Atkinson and her husband Jack and by her dear twin brother Walter Wladeka (2008) survived by his wife Iola. Aunt Alice will be sadly missed by her godchildren Marty (Cindy) Walker and Donna (Greg) Finnie. She will also be dearly missed by many nephews and nieces. She will be remembered by Albert's family, the Oakie's, Cooper's, Strupp's and the Damiani's. For many years, Alice enjoyed her life with Albert, up North, at their home on Boshkung Lake. To Alice, "her life with Albert and her children were everything".
